ERACE activites have also included holding
discussion groups, social gatherings, and organizing children's
playgroups. We speak to schools, businesses, the news media,
and others about Eracism.
But
our most fundamental activity is a three-times-a-week facilitated
discussion group.
The
meeting provides a forum for people of all colors to talk
and get to know each other in an informal setting.
ERACE
meetings are not just rap sessions; they are focused conversations
that encourage an open, critical exchange of ideas. The point
of the discussions is not to agree about everything nor to
reach definitive consensus on each topic. Rather, the objective
is to provide common ground and understanding of other people's
ideas and feelings as we move toward our goal: Eracism.
What
is the point of all this talking?
